This morning, I was listening to a playlist created by a group of coaches from the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies, and "Brave" by Sara Bareilles started to play. As I listened to the words, thoughts about kindness played in my mind, especially when I heard the phrase "be the backlash of somebody's lack of love."

Often, our reaction and silence hurt, and it becomes the backlash to someone who doesn't feel love for themself or others.

I found a picture of someone handing a flower to a large, intimidating being (free from Pixabay). And to me, this is true bravery—kindness in the face of scary.
