Bright New Day

Some thoughts as we bring in 2024. 

I usually write some deep thoughts about the opening of a new year.

Instead, the thought that keeps playing in my mind isn’t all that deep or profound.

Today is the first day of our calendar year. That is all it is. A day.

We can decide what to do with this day.

We can decide to fill it with whatever we want.

We can decide how to view it and act within it.

We decide.

And we get to do this every day we are blessed to be on earth.

My resolution is for just today. And tomorrow, I will make another resolution for what tomorrow may bring.

But today, this moment is what has my attention.
